There is a poetic, lyrical quality about this work that transports one to discover details that aren't visibly shown. It is quite an achievement to be able to discriminate ones linework with such discretion and authenticity. Sometimes less is more.

When one is completely connected and in their zone it speaks a thousand words, no matter what emotion they are expressing.
HEATHER BETTS at LINDBERG GALLERIES
Ends this Friday 25th June.
This is one exhibition not to be missed, particularly by Roar Drawers. Thanks for the tip Katie.
I hope that my work speaks instinctively to the viewer. It is highly suggestive painting and I prefer it to function as a mirror would, despite its origins being from a specific text or occurrence. Sometimes, its primary purpose is indeed to bypass the mind for now and to touch on a spontaneous reaction from the heart.

Artist of the Week, Helen Newton
Rather Fauvist I think, such a vivid colour spectrum. Exploring new techniques and sources of inspiration is essential. Unfamiliar territory can lead to unique discoveries, you just need to stay with it.

Artist of the Week, Rebekah Pearson
Fluid, spatial, strong. Rebekah is currently exhibiting at the Jasper Hotel, 489 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. This is a free space to exhibit so if you'd like to get some exposure it could be worth looking into.
